The footprint intensity falloff/inverse square law calculations apply to beam footprints,
providing a realistic intensity falloff that is proportional to the beam angle and distance from
source to target. For example, the footprint of a fixture lighting a flat surface 20’ away
appears much brighter than if the same fixture were lighting the same flat surface at 30’.
Similarly, for zoom fixtures, the intensity of the footprint is automatically adjusted when the
beam angle is changed (by zooming in or out).
